You may have seen a news clip on Good Morning America or watched a video on YouTube, but now you can see it LIVE right here in the Finger Lakes with the Generations Bank Empire State Carrying Championship!

The event will be held on June 30, 2013 at Ventosa Vineyards, starting at 3pm and continuing on into the night with an After Party.
Proceeds from the event will help benefit the Beverly Animal Shelter and the American Red Cross in the Finger Lakes.

Coed Teams, Male Teams, and Female teams of two will carry one team member through an obstacle course. If you and your partner win the race, you'll be awarded the carried person's weight in wine or juice!*
     
 

* -There are two different age divisions. The 16-20 age group will compete for the carried person's weight in juice and the 21+ age group will compete for the carried person's weight in wine (up to 150lbs).

What Does Your Registration Include?
Your $65 team registration ($75 after June 25th) will include race registration, a buffet ticket, and admission to the after party for both participants. You MUST register before noon on June 25th to receive buffet tickets!
     

Inspired by the carrying races that originated in Finland, teams of two will race to the finish line through a charted obstacle course. Teams can be coed, male carrying a male, or female carrying a female, and there are two different age groups competing (16-20 and 21+).

The Generations Bank Empire State Championship will be run on a 375- yard course on uneven terrain through the vineyards and a series of fun obstacles, including a water obstacle to close out the course.

There are many techniques to carrying your partner, three of which are represented in our logo above. Get creative, get ready, & get out there!

Spectators of all ages welcome, participants MUST be 16 or over. There are two age groups: 16-20 and 21+!
